Gîte Bordeaux - Bright

Nestled in a lush, green environment, Gîte Bordeaux charms guests with its warm and bright atmosphere.

The Château de Malcombe estate spans 33 hectares, with a heated swimming pool, private woodland and a private pond. Just a few minutes’ walk away, Lake Rillé is a bird sanctuary and leisure destination offering wakeboarding, canoeing, paddleboarding, mini golf, treetop adventure courses, fishing and bicycle hire. An ideal base for exploring Touraine’s vineyards, gastronomy and châteaux.

Bordeaux accommodates up to 5 guests in a bright, welcoming atmosphere. It features three bedrooms, two shower rooms and a comfortable living area, along with a terrace and private garden overlooking the woodland. The living area is best suited to a maximum of 4 adults.

On the ground floor, the living area combines a lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. A Senseo pod coffee machine and a filter coffee maker are provided. A bedroom with a double bed measuring 140 × 190 cm and an en-suite shower room, together with a separate toilet, complete this floor.

Upstairs, there is one bedroom with a double bed measuring 140 × 190 cm and another with two single beds measuring 90 × 190 cm. A second, separate shower room has a shower, washbasin and toilet.

Outside, the furnished terrace is ideal for outdoor meals or simply relaxing with views of the woodland. Guests also have access to the private estate’s woods and pond.

The heated swimming pool is shared by the three cottages. It measures 14 × 5 metres and is 1.50 metres deep. It is open from mid-May to mid-September, subject to designated opening hours and weather conditions. Children and non-swimmers must be accompanied and use appropriate flotation aids.

Around 500 metres away, Lake Rillé offers walking, birdwatching and a range of outdoor activities, including canoeing, paddleboarding, pedal boating, wakeboarding and treetop adventure courses. Waymarked cycling routes and bicycle hire at the lake also provide opportunities to explore the surrounding area. These activities are operated by independent providers, subject to their opening seasons and prices, and are not included in your stay.

Château de Malcombe is also a base for visiting the Loire Valley châteaux, including Langeais, Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau, and discovering the villages and vineyards of Touraine and Anjou.

Bed linen, bath towels and end-of-stay cleaning are included. Pool towels are not provided.

Wi-Fi is available, particularly useful for internet calls as mobile reception is limited.

The cottage is non-smoking and pets are not permitted. The owners’ dogs are present on the estate.
